Meet LaKeysha

I was born and raised in the Boneyville community of rural Lincoln County. I moved to Danville in the seventh grade, where I attended Bate Middle School before graduating from Danville High School. I have remained a part of this community ever since, raising my four sons here, all of whom attended Danville High School. Throughout my life, I have developed a deep appreciation for this community and have long advocated for the children, families, and staff of the Danville Independent School System.

Growing up in a single-parent household gave me firsthand experience with the financial challenges that many families face. I understand how difficult it can be to balance household expenses, provide for children and navigate unexpected financial hardships. These experiences have shaped my perspective and strengthened my commitment to fairness, compassion, and equal access to justice.

As District Court Judge, I will approach every case with understanding of the real-life circumstances that can affect individuals and families. I recognize the importance of balancing the financial costs and broader implications of court proceedings with the need to uphold the law, protect public safety, and treat every person with dignity and respect. I am committed to making thoughtful, impartial decisions that reflect the law and the individual circumstances of each case while maintaining the integrity of the judicial system.

As District Court judge, I will be a strong advocate for fairness, transparency, and accountability in our judicial system.
